Washed the car yesterday, so made sure later in the evening that I wiped both doors and seals dry.
Minus 1C this morning, doors opened fine, really impressed with the heated front screen, rest of the car warmed up quickly, if it carries on like this then I'll be a happy bunny.

Just had a call from a friend with an Evoque - doors wouldn't open this morning - temperateure was -6c. It all seemed to be frozen shut. She eventually got the passenger door open using the emergency key and drove it round to her local dealer who couldn't get the driver's door to unlock until it had defrosted.
This wasn't an issue with the seals it just wouldn't unlock so appears the lock mechanism was frozen.

 Anyone had anything similar happen?

Nothing new with frozen locks, Halfords sell lock de-icer for that very problem. Think it's just a combination of the very damp/wet weather followed by freezing conditions.

Only one door on the car has a key hole and it ain't the driver's door..........

Had the same thing today. Drivers door opened but was stuck in 2 very small places which seems to have pulled the black felt off, it was stuck to the bodywork!!! The rubber strip is all intact though. A hazard of these cold conditions.

So, when they tested the car in the Arctic Circle .... they must have kept it in a warm garage overnight !
