RE: Tips

Not sure exactly what type they are yet. I just told them I wanted slanted with rolled tip and they were going to get them. When the shop called today they advised they will be welded on. I should know next week when I get the car back as the car will be there for a few more days for other minor mods. He did mention he made it were there is still a gap between the diffusor and top of the tip but it's less than an inch gap. I won't really know until I see it in person next week.

Tidy look.

I actually have Milltek catback exhaust on my jag and they are great (sound and look).

I spoke with my guy at the shop again and he said these tips are the Magnaflow 35121 if anyone is interested.

Here is the tips from magnaflows website: http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/displ...mber=35121

You can get them for a lot cheaper at those big online aftermarket autoparts stores such as summit racing or jegs.

You can also go to magnaflows website for their global dealer list in your area.

RE: Tips

Lion I took the spare out to look at something a noticed there was no sound insulation. You might dynamat that area to lower the noise level. I'm gonna do that soon cause I noticed with the seats folded it was really loud.

I couldn't see the bend over the rear axle so not sure how smooth the bend is though the exhaust seems pretty straight from the engine back.

I'm gonna have a buddy shot some video as I drive above his camera. Want to see what everything looks like moving

Are these photos any good to you? This is the underside of my SD4 on the ramp at PDI.

RE: Tips

Just wanted to ask Lionhead how this mod turned out (any photo's?).

It's something I definately want to do as I think the original tips look a little weedy compared to the proportions of the car and the cut outs in the rear bumper/apron.

I like the look of the 35177 tips (http://www.magnaflowstainlesssteelexhaus...5177.html) and I'm currently waiting on a quote from a local exhaust specialist for the mod. Your feedback would be appreciated though Lionhead Smile

Where does the other branch of the twin exhaust fit into this?

RE: Tips

It doesn't. That single pipe goes into a large silencer behind the bumper and the twin exhaust pipes exit from there.

The car is still at the shop. I wanted them to also vinyl wrap the diffusor and front bull bar but with the texture and round edges, they don't think it will work and so now they are going to paint them. They're planning to paint them this weekend and so hopefully I'll get it back Monday or no later then this Wednesday. My wheels are also delayed.....Sad Was suppose to be here this past week (5 week estimated build time) but my wheel guy called the supplier and they aren't planned to be shipped until March 17 now (odd because that's a Saturday). Will def post pics one I get the car back.
