Wavering

Well I'm wavering.

I was hanging on waiting in vain for some decent finance offers on the LR web site. As you will see every model has an offer except the Evoque....due to demand I expect.

I was looking at a Mercedes C class Sport at the weekend. The price is about the same for a C220 auto with Navagation. £32000
What sways me to this car is that the dealer is putting about 5k towards the deposit and I pay £4000.making 36 monthly payments of £339. With a final 15k. The finance is about 5%.

Range Rover still want about 10%. That's a big difference on an expensive car.

What to do?!!

RE: Wavering

There is only one reason Merc is offering seemingly great finance on selected C Class............................ they cannot shift them so they have offer an incentive to attract folks to buy. Why on this earth would LR want to offer incentives to buy a car that at the moment they can sell every one that rolls down the line and folks are willing (not necessarily happily) to wait 5-9 months for a factory order or to pay full list price for one from dealer stock.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

I just got rid of a C class Merc, 2008 Reg, 27,000 KM , 1 owner from new full spec,, for a new Evoque. I got 20k euro trade in for it.Big Cry

Beyond that there's no comparison - Hold out for the Evoque if you can !Thumbs Up

RE: Wavering

£40k for a C220?! Have I read that right? That's a lof of money for a very old, dull car.

No £32k for car
Here's a comparison review

The dealers paying 5k so it's really 27k

RE: Wavering

I've got an idea. Why not free up a spot for somebody that REALLY wants an Evoque and save your Merc commercials for another website?

There. Now we can be friends again...

I'm just sharing options and evaluating alternatives. If you don't want to know about alternatives or why they may be chosen then keep your blinkers on and don't read any more messages regarding this topic.

RE: Wavering

That was a bit harsh. I've gone through exactly the same waying up all of the choices and as my wife's car is an e class 350 cab, it's by miles a better car than my Evoque.

If you knew anything about the way Merc dealers sell their cars you would know it has nothing to do with the fact that they are desperate for sales but the very opposite. Before they get allocation on inspirational cars like e, m and cl class etc, they need to sell cars lower in the range such as a , b and c.

Cheers
