How often do you pester your dealer?

Like all of us I'm sure, I'm desperate to get my Evoque.

I was originally told I'd have my car by July (2011), then I was told September, then late August, then late October and now early October. As a result of all these varying timeframes, I want to call my dealer on a weekly basis to check (but am refraining from doing so)!

How often do you make contact with your dealer to enquire about progress/delivery date?

RE: How often do you pester your dealer?

Since I placed my order in April I have contacted my dealer initially only a few times - funny but they have not been that aggressive in contacting me. However in the last month I have contacted them several times, mainly to see if they have further information regarding some of the information that I have read on this forum (delays, finance, car specs etc).

Responses from my dealer has been slow and to be honest I get better responses on this forum to questions than I get back from my dealer. I think the dealers should use this forum to their advantage as a knowledge resource, and perhaps as a heads up towards customer expectations for future sales.

Arrived 22nd December - SD4 Dynamic Auto, Fuji White, Panoramic/Contrast Roof, Dynamic Plus & Lux Pack

RE: How often do you pester your dealer?

To be honest rarely. Since last October when I put my deposit down ( which I did over the phone) have only seen the salesman twice. Once to confirm the order and choose options and once at the launch night...briefly. I have emailed a few amendments and telephoned a couple of times.

I'm pretty relaxed over the delivery date. I'd rather it turn up late and be perfect than have it rushed through and have to be returned regularly to the dealer.

Obviousy, if there were Issues or I wasn't happy with a certain aspect of my order I'd pester them until I got the answer I required.

Arrived 16th December 2011: 5 door Prestige SD4 auto in Barolo black with ambience interior, pano roof, privacy and 20" style 6 alloys.Very Happy

I wouldn't say I pester mine, but sometimes we are in contact daily, often with non Evoque things. I'm about to phone James/Matt/Barry/Jeremy to place a deposit on another new car.................

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Not sure how you could have been told July or August when the launch was set for Sept 9th for a long time. When did you place an deposit or order and what does your build sheet say?
