Highlights of the Best/ worst things about your Evoque...

Thought we have a thread of summary of things people like or dislike most about their Evoque and the highlights after 1 year of ownership. Also, the number of times your Evoque had been back to the dealership for repairs...

Best: looks, panoramic roof, Adaptive dynamics, 825w meridian sound system.

Worst: mpg, built quality.

Highlights: used as a Wedding car.

Been back to dealership for repairs: 2

Fire away....

Got mine : Dynamic Fuji White with Lux Pack and black contrast roof.
Optional extras : Privacy glass, Heated steering wheel and TPMS.
Me: Very HappyVery Happy

RE: Highlights of the Best/ worst things about your Evoque...

Still love the car but been back to the dealership for 7 separate things that have gone wrong (fuel injector, anti roll pins, leather on driver's seat, ERG valve, steering alignment, faulty coolant valve, door locking mechanism) and am still waiting for them to repair the paint they chipped off the car when carrying out the last repair! I have now got a free first year service but if anything else goes wrong I'll have to seriously think about giving it back.

RE: Highlights of the Best/ worst things about your Evoque...

Likes: Size/ design/ huge range of variables of spec

Dislikes: Terrible fuel economy for a small, modern car, even a 4WD one, too many build quality issues that LR don't seem to want to acknowledge exist even though dealers are doing their best to rectify them.

No. Of returns to dealers (apart from first routine service): Once, at 10 days old to investigate wind noise through door seals.

Would I buy another - would love to but............... Have to see how overpriced and how many quality problems LR manage to engineer into the next RRS. My salary , unlike Land Rover's pricing, is not going up in line with price rises!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Best- design (exterior and interior)

Worst - mpg

Highlight- getting me home in recent floods whilst others struggled.

Dealers, none- but I did have the aluminium console replaced on drivers side as I kept hitting it with the seatbelt buckle when I first bought the car. (yes, my fault). However, the dealer didn't charge me to fit it.

Waiting for: - 2015 SD4 Dynamic, LUX pack, Auto, 5 door. Mauritius Blue. Santorini Roof........spare wheel.

RE: Highlights of the Best/ worst things about your Evoque...

Likes: look of the car, the overall presence, people still stop to look at it when parked in car parks and first LR that's only cost me £135 VED.

Dislike: fuel economy, started well getting Low 40s now struggle to get mid 30s

Highlights: towing my brothers transit van, people said it wasn't a real range rover and wouldn't be able to pull it, what's the saying, he who laughs last.................

Only one trip to the dealer to have the drivers door hinge tightened.

Would by another but would like the overall fit and finish of the car to be improved and a few more individual options rather than buying whole packs.

RE: Highlights of the Best/ worst things about your Evoque...

I won an Evoque in a hospital lottery and picked it up in July. I read about poor Land Rover ratings and was concerned. I did have the choice of 6 cars to pick from but wanted another Suv. We took the Evoque out for a test ride and went through with the deal. We have had zero issues and are thrilled with this car.....We also own a Honda CRV and a Z06 Corvette.....I have owned many cars and motorcycles through the years and am very impressed with our red Evoque...we have the gas turbo engine in Canada and it is very quick, and drives like a sportscar...nice job Land Rover.....
