RE: Dynamic or Prestige

Alex I think if you re-read the brochure the Satin finish is on the centre consol "hockey sticks" not on the dash intermediate strip which is either Black Strata or the other brushed Aluminium

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Dynamic or Prestige

It's odd that RR thought they needed to replicate the leather interior as in the other models while not thinking of the dynamic as a blank canvas and perhaps including perhaps a different dash material design layout.

Obviously cost is the deciding factor when it comes to their manufacturing, but none the less it discredits the appreciation as you say, esepecially knowing you spending for a higher spec model such as the Dynamic.

The Dynamic isn't a higher spec model. Both it and the Prestige are the same price for comparable drive-trains; ranging from ₤37,380 through to ₤39,990. They just offer different specifications for the same price.

RE: Dynamic or Prestige

I meant in comparison to the Pure, but it looks like the Dynamic must have the same dash material as the Pure.

RE: Dynamic or Prestige

The Dynamic has the "soft touch material" on the lower dash, that's one reason I went for the Plus pack as the Plus pack has Oxford topper and lower dash panels, I'm just not sure whether to go for the Black Strata or the polished Aluminium IP finisher on the dash.

According to the wording in the Global Brochure, it does.

Aluminum would be my pic. It would break up the lines and colour, plus I would imagine the black trim, if glossy, would scratch when you wipe the dust off it. Piano black trim finishes look fantastic in photos but scratch so easily when it comes to wiping the dust away.

RE: Dynamic or Prestige

Thanks had a look and it does, as FFT stated above you need to choose the Plus option to get same dash as Prestige.
Agree to Kermits comments above, it's ashame it's only the Black Strata or the Aluminium and not some of the finishes in the Prestige.

I would choose the Aluminium for sure..

Although we are paying same prices for comparable drive trains in the UK. The price of the car itself is not as some of the money from the OTR price goes toasted road tax.

RE: Dynamic or Prestige

I found this on YouTube - Geneva Range Rover Stand.

It shows the Dynamic and the Prestige. If someone has seen the Dynamic at a show can you tell me if the grill and black trim is really that glossy? On the RR website it looks more like a muted black, while in this video it looks very plastic like and somewhat cheap. Also it was good to see inside the vehicles, even had a chance to see the review load rails in the load space.

However they do look quite small in comparison with the people walking around the vehicles - unless everyone there was 6 foot plus.

RE: Dynamic or Prestige

Yes it's definitely shiny black plastic but keep in mind that it's full of spotlights there. It won't have the same effect in natural lighting.
