Driving home today I wasn't getting any symbols on the mirror has cars in the right lane was passing me..

I'm sure you can turn it off in the menu settings.

Just look at the wing mirror glass and you should see the the bottom outside corner the symbol for it, irrelevant if it's on or not.

RE: blind spot monitoring

You don't get any indication on the dash it is a tiny flashing orange/ yellow light on the etched square on the wing mirror. As SP says it may be turned off. I had it on both my Evoques and driving down country lanes it could be pain as it was so sensitive that it picked up overhanging hedgerow and shrubs on the nearside.............. But on the motorway it is a useful addition to the toy list. I don't have it on my current car and don't really miss it.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: blind spot monitoring

Just had a look thorough the menu controlled by the OK button on the wheel that shows the setting on the dash between the 2 clocks and couldn't find anything on blind spot settings.... Also when I look at both mirrors there's no indication of the squares that you normally see ..emm does this car have blind spot, I wonder!!!!
Why would it show on the optional equipment rundown they paid £450 for it..... ??

Just had another look at my handbook and on the settings for the menu states

VEHICLE SET-UP
Blind spot monitor
Speed warning
High beam assist
Passenger airbag
Alarm sensor
And so on....

If I go to the setting on the dash it starts with

VEHICLE SET-UP
Speed warning
High beam assist
Passenger airbag
Alarm sensor
And so on

So it's missing "Blind spot Monitor" at the top

Very strange why they paid for it but doesn't seem to have it

RE: blind spot monitoring

That doesn't look like an actual 'extras' list from the original owner. It looks like an HPI document ofsome sort with a clear disclaimer on the bottom. You'd need to see the original invoice or check on Topix to find out exactly what extras it came with. In any case, it must be incorrect as you clearly have the 'plus' pack on yours but there's no mention of that on the 'options' list.

Santorini SD4A Dynamic Lux with shadow chromes, ebony leather and privacy glass. Very Happy

RE: blind spot monitoring

Thanks stadt Panzer..
And yes Steve, I thought that as well about the plus pack not showing up ?
I'll have to have a look on Topix

Handy that Topix
Mine states that all its missing is

LESS BLIND SPOT MONITORING SYS
LESS BONNET LOUVRE
LESS CORNERING LAMPS
LESS GARAGE DOOR OPENER
LESS LOAD RETAINER LUGGAGELESS POLLUTION SENSOR
LESS REAR ENTERTAINMENT SCREEN
LESS REAR SEAT TRAY
LESS ROOF RAILS
LESS SMOKERS PACKAGE
LESS SPARE WHEEL/IMSLESS TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS

But on a good note it lists a whole heap of neat good bits Smile

RE: blind spot monitoring

There is also no guarantee that what is on LRTopix will be 100% correct as well. Plus pack was only the seats and a leather dash topper, also having Plus pack means that you cannot fit Rear Seat Screens as the head restraint design isn't suitable or big enough for mounting the screens and even the iPad holders won't fit to Plus Pack chairs.

RE: blind spot monitoring

Looking at the HPI description of DottyFlo's car it looks like it was a "standard" Dynamic 5 door with Plus Pack and some added extras as the first owner didn't want all the bits of the Lux Pack. Odd because it looks like the only thing missing to have made the car a Lux Plus is the Blind Spot Monitoring, and Dynamic Lux is also a higher value car in the price guides as it was a factory listed model.
