Yep on the US none of the cars that can close the windows via fob. Although my Lexus would close via the key inserted into the lock. I believe someone decapitated their dog in the US not realizing the button was depressed in their pocket. I havent tried the key on my evoque so I don't know if that will work.

You'd think they could make them with a sensor like my garage door - as it closes if it hits anything, it auto opens.

RE: Window up/down from key

My 2009 Freelander had the ability to open and close the windows via the key fob and it's a pity that a 2012 Evoque will only allow you to open the windows and not close them.

Oh well, H&S gone mad again.

Maybe there is a work around (like the seat belt chime on/off trick) ?

Right on...there must. Clearly the functionality is there if some other countries have the feature. It's just a matter of finding out how to turn it on!

I tried the key to see if it would roll up the windows and nada. Won't roll up or down with the key, gotta love attorneys!

Yep must only be software setup... As long as there isn't "American" and "Austrailian" special software with this feature removed, rather than a simple dealer enable...
