Window up/down from key - mnd - 19-02-2012 11:12pm Hi all, I know the Evoque has the ability to OPEN all windows by holding down the open button. Sensational. However, please tell me i'm wrong by saying it doesn't CLOSE the windows by holding down the lock key??? Mine doesn't seem to work and i really hope it's just me and not the fact that some dim witted LR engineer decided to not add this feature!! thanks RE: Window up/down from key - cjfp - 19-02-2012 11:16pm Have you actually opened the windows from the fob? The reason I ask is that I believe you can close from the fob too, but this window open/close facility needs to be activated. Thus if yours do open then you may have an issue - if they don't open then the option may not yet be enabled. So you're suggesting that they should? RE: Window up/down from key - cjfp - 19-02-2012 11:27pm Yep, just tested. Click and hold - open. Dbl click and hold - close RE: Window up/down from key - mnd - 19-02-2012 11:33pm (19-02-2012 11:27pm)cjfp Wrote: Dbl click and hold - close I'm assuming you mean the lock button? I thought i'd tried that. I'll give it another shot tonight thanks RE: Window up/down from key - cjfp - 19-02-2012 11:34pm Yes, sorry - unlock and lock buttons. RE: Window up/down from key - edgedata - 19-02-2012 11:43pm Not saying double click lock/unlock doesn't work but the manual has the following. GLOBAL OPENING Press and hold the Smart Key unlock button for 3 seconds to unlock the vehicle and open all windows. Press any button on the Smart Key to cancel the operation. GLOBAL CLOSING Ensure that no children, pets, or obstructions are in any open aperture before operating global closing. Ensure that all doors are closed. Press and hold the Smart Key lock button for 3 seconds. The vehicle will single lock and the alarm will be armed immediately. After 3 seconds any open windows will be closed. RE: Window up/down from key - cjfp - 19-02-2012 11:44pm @mnd - does your dog have its head out of the window still? He's not allowed anywhere but the boot! btw...This is the offical response from LR. Obviously us Aussies are more entangled in red-tape than some others "close is an ADR requirement that didn't meet Australian standards. Down works up doesn't.
