RE: Who is gonna re-map their evoque then?

I am thinking of keeping my Evoque for 2-3 years so if I did have it done will it or does it put any strain on the engine over time?

RE: Who is gonna re-map their evoque then?

Hi Andy,

we generally tune to a safe limit working from data sheets we have available to us for the whole drivetrain and its internal components considering the engine, gearbox, shafts, diffs etc etc so any tuning would take all this information into consideration when the final figure is decided and produced.

In a nutshell no, we aim not to put much uneeded strain on the whole drivetrain including the engine and aim not to take the tuning level above the specs we have for the conponents involved.

Pete.

RE: Who is gonna re-map their evoque then?

I would like a remap just to change the shifts on the trans. We have documented low speed up shifts that makes the vehicle feel like turbo lag when in fact it is just trying to make up its mind about down shifting. This shouldn't put any more strain on the drivetrain. Although it would use more fuel, I feel like it would be a safer and more enjoyable driving experience!

Will a remap fix the turbo lag which has almost caused me a couple of accidents in my SD4?
