Sitting in the back

At the dealer launch last Thursday, Christine & I took the opportunity to sit in the back of the 5 door Prestige in the showroom. We each had a glass of champagne, the TV on and the pan roof blind open.
It was a surprisingly nice place to be. We were both extremely comfortable and felt right at home. If I happen to win the EM lottery jackpot this week, it won't worry me to hire a chauffeur now and again to have a rear seat experience - as much as I love driving, the rear seat is a great place to be.
The dealer principle even brought us another glass of champers and took a photo of us!!!

RE: Sitting in the back

On Friday morning I saw a Black prestige 5 door parked at the front door of the Dorchester Hotel on Park lane, not sure if any of the uniformed men standing around it was a chauffeur, probably hotel door men! The car also had a very nice number plate - one number and one letter and probably worth more than the car. The Evoque 5 door did not look out of place with 9 super cars and a Range Rover Sport also parked in front of the hotel!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Sitting in the back

I've had more kids from land rover owning families come to me and ask if they can sit inside and be photographed than any other group of people. Have been surprised at the number of older LR owners who are so taken with Evoque that they are rushing off to book test drives. The feeling I get is that most people thought the Freelander wasn't a proper Land Rover (which is a load of codswallop, Freelanders are excellent off road once you know what their limits are) but they take one look inside my Evoque and the first thing most say is "it really is a Range Rover, and does a better job of being one than the Sport did in it's Mk1 guise"
