RE: Service plan 5yr £499

I've just returned from collecting my repaired car from the local dealership where I asked about the Land Rover service contract that costs £499
A) it applies to any Evoque purchased since Jan 2013
B) the offer is running only until the end of May
C) it does not cover "wear and tear" parts so that means things like brake pads are not included in the deal.
D) the Stratstones deal is not the same as the Land Rover offer.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Service plan 5yr £499

My Servicing Dealer asked me to put this up on the forum as there has been a lot of confusion.

"Having noticed some confusion on evoque owners forum, I thought I would clarify some of the details of the plan for you to pass on.

On the 8th May 2013 Land Rover launched the 5yr/60,000m service plan for £499 incl VAT, it must be purchased either at the point of sale of the vehicle or within a period of 90 days post registration, there is a launch promotion during May allowing sales to cars registered from 1st Jan 2013, Jaguar/Landrover (not dealers) will be contacting eligible customers week commencing 13th May 2013.
Services can be carried out at any Authorised Land Rover Repairer.

Kind Regards"

Pretty much what Tim said.

Evoque No3: MY15 Dynamic Lux SD4, Auto, Santorini Black, Pimento Dynamic Plus Sports Seats, Ebony headlining, Pan Roof, Shadow Chrome Alloys.

I am told the stratstone offer is the same but they pay extra 300.

RE: Service plan 5yr £499

Has anyone had any luck getting this offer extended to a car purchased late last year (November)? Those of us who purchased late last year are left with £2,200 for 5 year dealer servicing - quite a difference!!

Re this topic and not aimed directly at you, but some you win, some you lose. You must have been happy with the situation at the time of your purchase. Retailers cant promise to pass on every price reduction, special offfer to all existing owners / previous purchasers. Its annoying i understand, but thats life. Are you willing to pay up more if they subsequently put up prices?

Whilst I understand what you're saying, and it is very true, but from my perspective there was no service plan available at all when I bought our car.
Having only 1 month ago paid £400 for its first service, it's pretty sickening to know that for another £100 people can service their cars for 5 years. Rolling Eyes

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).
Collected, Friday 13th Shocked April 2012

+1

Also lets remember the dealers are charging up to £400pa for little more than a basic oil & filter change.

Nearly forgot, that price does include £3.96 for topping up the washer fluid that was already full!

Also it includes the 2/6d that it costs to plug the car into a diagnostic computer to apply any software changes and the cost of 30 minutes spent washing and vacuuming out the car in a so called valet
