Service plan 5yr £499 - heronb - 09-05-2013 03:11pm The link below explains it all http://www.landrover.com/gb/en/lr/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/approved-service-pack/ Checked with my dealer and its available up to 90 days from pick up. RE: Service plan 5yr £499 - RacingSnake - 09-05-2013 04:23pm it was talked about in this thread too http://babyrr.com/forum/thread-7055.html?highlight=%C2%A3499 RE: Service plan 5yr £499 - Nantmoel - 09-05-2013 04:27pm Phew I'm I glad I had mine for £399! Result! But its a must for anyone at £499 RE: Service plan 5yr £499 - heronb - 09-05-2013 04:41pm (09-05-2013 04:23pm)RacingSnake Wrote: it was talked about in this thread too Thought this was part of the purchase process, but it's also available direct from JLR and doesn't tie you to a dealer. Good news for new and newish customers only I'm afraid. RE: Service plan 5yr £499 - LaserTam - 09-05-2013 06:15pm Like me - seemed a no brainer when I placed my order a week or so ago. Heard a standard service was £350ish a go, so assume this is a loss leader of some sort. RE: Service plan 5yr £499 - The Valeter - 09-05-2013 08:14pm I may take this up. If you look at the overview of servicing I wonder where they get the standard prices from for the work they do as there isn't much on the list? I presume they check brakes, fixings etc as well? It's no loss leader as if you look at the service they include it's just an oil and filter change which probably has a cost of well under £100 to the dealer but they charge up to £480 for it! Then once your car is in they can charge ridiculous prices for brake pads and any other consumables at close to £200 per hour labour.... That said it's still well worth taking up! RE: Service plan 5yr £499 - The Valeter - 09-05-2013 09:45pm So does this service plan give you the same services as you would have if you paid for each one individually? Good question... RE: Service plan 5yr £499 - Trapdoor - 09-05-2013 09:56pm Surely there should be a 'renew brake fluid' at 2-years/4-years? I haven't got my service book handy (it's in the car in the garage) but my X3 brake fluid was timed 2-yearly. edit: Just checked TOPIx and it states that Brake Fluid must be changed every THREE years regardless of distance for the Evoque. So, is this an additional cost. I'd expect that the service plan included everything in the required service schedule. T&C's.... one slightly worrying item... 5. Items not specifically mentioned in the Service Pack Summary and any items requiring replacement or repair due to excessive wear and tear or misuse are not covered by the Service Pack. |
