RE: Service plan 5yr £499

Interesting small print and maths ...

* The Approved Service Pack includes an annual service for five years. The intervals for the Range Rover Evoque Si4-powered models are 10,000 miles, and therefore the Approved Service Pack will last for five years or 50,000 miles (whichever comes first). All other Range Rover Evoque variants have a 16,000 mile service interval, and therefore the Approved Service Pack will last for five years or 60,000 miles (whichever comes first).

Pure 3dr SD4 Tech Man ; Firenze Red ; 19" Style 3 ; Pano ; Ebony / Ivory Int ; Auto dim rear view ; 2 seats ; Park Aid - Rear cam ; Ext. folding mirrors ; Adap Xenon ; Fogs ; Mud Flaps ; Side Steps - Rec'd 28/12/11 - Sadly going 6/6/14 - Gone, now running BMW X6

RE: Service plan 5yr £499

When I rang the customer service number on the link and asked if everything was included he did say that additional items may be required, but was vague on specifics.

This is my first RR product (and diesel for that matter apart from a D3 for 1yr) so not up to speed with what would normally be required at each service.

If the first service is £340 then I can see the sense but I dont keep a car longer than (3yrs) 2 services normally, so if I can get them done for £220 it would actually be a cost to me. Although it is transferable to a new owner so may be attractive for resale.

Confused

Hope thats a misprint! High mileage users of the SD4 get short changed!

What happened to brake fluid change every 2 years? Mazda do that with less cost as standard.

Just picked up my new evoque today from stratstone Doncaster.
They are doing 5 years for £199!
Even if I only have one service before I change again it still cheaper then a standard service.

Ben, congratulations, elevation to the ranks of those who have purchased their second one without it being a replacement car due to problems!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

My replacement car due to problems was registered in January, outside the 90 days window.

However, the scheme is administered by Emac http://www.emac.co.uk/ and they were only too happy to take my credit card details.

If, like me, you are not only unwilling to pay top dollar for servicing but also too tight to dial an 0844 number, you can get them on 01270 505050.Wink

RE: Service plan 5yr £499

I got a £2000 dealership contribution for my new Fl2 but if I took the £199 service deal I was only getting £1400 dealership contribution, so I have just stuck with my current plan and transfer it to the new car. Spoke to emac and I have £300 in the pot from the Evoque plan.

One point about these 5 year deals...... Are they transferable to the next owner shoud you want to change your car after 2-3 years because something better has come along?
Yes at £199 for a five year agreement it is good value even if you don't intend to own the car more than two years but at £500 that would be the cost of 2 services where I get my cars serviced and I usually keep my cars between 2 and 3 years, although I may keep this one longer - until the major changes of the new gear box this year and the new engines in the next two years mean I won't loose even more at trade in time by having a car bought between two major changes.

I believe it is transferable to the next owner. I'm intending to keep this Fl2 until the new Defender I could do with the 90 hardtop for my dogs.
