Gap Insurance

In the end ive got mine from the dealers, it was a little more than the offered here in the thread but it was easer as i was there already.

Hi there, Yes I did. They wanted £399.00 but I ended up the giving the dealer a take it or leave it offer of £200 which they eventually took. cheers

Thanks YST for your answer, i ended up doing a deal which was right for me in th eend on mud flaps which ill collect next week and the insurance.

Jeez, just noticed a note on my paperwork, Gap insurance £799 Shocked

Hope that's a 5 year quote... kam100's website was quoting £165 for 3 years!

WOW 799 is way to steep,i was under the impression it was a set retail price but obviousley not Sad

Try the forum sponsors and see what they can offer.
Also check that your dealer isn't sell you a package of GAP and wheel and tyre insurance bundled together, but even then that quote is well off the mark

Do you need GAP insurance I never taken it out on any of my cars, my last car being a Porsche, never had it stolen or written off.

I thought fully comprehensive insurance should cover the full value of the car? As I've never made a claim I don't know, but I've always valued my cars at the price I paid for them.

Thanks Tim, This is probably going to sound a bit silly, but who are the forum sponsors...!? In the thread area for them there is only Prestige Car Finance and doesn't look like they do Gap, am I missing something? Only found kam100 so far...

Hi Phil, My dealer wanted £399 but managed to get him down to £200 for 3 year cover, although in truth my insurance covers the first year.
