Makes sense really, but I'm an ex-pat of nearly 50 years residency and to be honest would sooner be living up here than down in the SE of England (where I am originally from) with all that 2nd/3rd/4th/5th hand water, those hard pavements and crowded roads, even if I have to show my Aussie passport ( has it's uses!) to get across the border!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

If I can persuade the committee it won't happen before Easter 2013 however if you want to try a Forest drive that even a Ferrari could do then head out to Aberfoyle, take the road up the steep hill above the village toward the Duke's Pass/ Trossachs and Callander and about 3 miles along is a perpose built 3 Lochs Forest Drive. You will get mud splashes but nothing worse, it is officially offroad on the Forest Tracks and a great place to have a family picnic. Dogs are welcome too but if you want to fish in the lochs you need permit!

The 3 Lochs Drive is indeed great fun. I have done it 3 times since getting the Evoque in June. However the Forestry Commission website lists this as being closed for vehicles for the winter. It says that it is open April to Oct. I live about 35 miles away from the drive, too far away to drive up just to check if its open (plus I'm in Cancun just now).

If it does remain open over the winter I would love to try it when it snows.

Evoque - Pure SD4 manual - White - Panoramic roof - Reversing camera and a few other extras.

I live a couple of miles away from the 3 lochs drive, last weekend it was still open as somebody had ripped up the barrier............. But I will keep an eye in it and report back

Having had pan roof replaced by insurer they said the car is now classed as a grass and gravel 4x4 only and wont replace again if broken whilst off roading.

Cheers

Bob
