Engine Badge Removal

A discussion on another thread asks if the LR badge has survived. How about the engine badge for which there is an NCO to remove? Experience with other brands suggests they may just leave it in the car in case you want to add later.

You might want to remove the badge to disguise the fact your car has a pony of an engine, even though the single exhaust pipe will reveal all to those in the know. Otherwise, you might want to remove it in case you are targetted by the tree-hugging fraternity (or sorority). Me? I've left it off to reduce, fractionally unwanted visual clutter.

What are you doing?

Mark

RE: Engine Badge Removal

I'm not worried that anybody knows I have the top spec tractor juice engine. In the days of the 2.7TDv6 RRS a lot of people dressed them up to look like the Supercharged version, including sticking the S/C badge on the back. Unfortunatey those that did never saw the huge black cloud that was emitted when they tried to make their TDv6 accelerate it like it was a Supercharged..............

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
