Engine Badge Removal - mark_n - 28-08-2011 03:20pm A discussion on another thread asks if the LR badge has survived. How about the engine badge for which there is an NCO to remove? Experience with other brands suggests they may just leave it in the car in case you want to add later. You might want to remove the badge to disguise the fact your car has a pony of an engine, even though the single exhaust pipe will reveal all to those in the know. Otherwise, you might want to remove it in case you are targetted by the tree-hugging fraternity (or sorority). Me? I've left it off to reduce, fractionally unwanted visual clutter. What are you doing? RE: Engine Badge Removal - Daigriff - 28-08-2011 03:48pm Left it on...but didn't give it any thought to be honest. RE: Engine Badge Removal - XFullFatTim - 28-08-2011 03:52pm I'm not worried that anybody knows I have the top spec tractor juice engine. In the days of the 2.7TDv6 RRS a lot of people dressed them up to look like the Supercharged version, including sticking the S/C badge on the back. Unfortunatey those that did never saw the huge black cloud that was emitted when they tried to make their TDv6 accelerate it like it was a Supercharged..............
