RE: ECO BUTTON evoque 2014
Just one thought here on this matter, how hard are you pressing down on the brake pedal at traffic lights/ stops? I have found that on both my last Evoque (my first one didn't have stop/start) and on my SDv6 RRS I have to very firmly press the brake pedal down to activate the Eco stop/Start, if I just use light pressure on the footbrake then Stop/Start doesn't activate. So stop being a girl and use a manly press on the brake and see it that triggers the sensor to stop the engine! If you are worried about blinding the following driver with your high level brake light then, with your foot still on the footbrake, put the car into Neutral (works for both manual and autos), engage the EPB and take your foot off the brake pedal and you will find that the ECO stop/start remains stopped until you put the car into Drive or engage a gear.
A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
