RE: Dynamic / MagneRide worth it?

Congrats! Just curious, when I bought my Dynamic, the MagneRide was an option, is it now standard on the Dynamic? Thanks

Interesting, my sheets says Terrain Respone with Dynamic Mode. Haven't seen anything specifically call out MagneRide yet. Hmmm.

It arrived today and of course took it for a spin which included the few short rolling curves too. Had it in Dynamic Mode and felt good.

The only snafu currently is the check engine light is on. Straight from the dealer too. Looks like an OBD2 analyzer is in my future.

You don't get Dynamic Mode without Magneride, basically one and the same thing!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

As I said, when I bought my Dynamic I had to specify (and pay for) MagneRide as an option. It was only an option on Dynamic in the states. You could buy the Dynamic w/o MagneRide. But, that's just the states. Of course back then, you could tell if a Dynamic had it or not if all five suspension options were avail on the center console.

I'm only speculating on the latest "offerings" in the USA. Do you have five suspension choices between the selection buttons? The MagneRive one should show a curvy road.

Yep. All 5 indications are below the gear shifter. Also logged into Topix for my VIN and it states Magnetic Damping System. So I'm good.

Awesome -- does the tach still go red when you put it into the stiffer mode? BTW, the engineers who designed this suspension at ac/delco believe the "stiffer" settings (used on many cars with MagneRide) is a negative development.

Correct. Gauges change to red upon Dynamic selection.
