I can't Andy, I don't have any movies on USB. Perhaps Tim or one of the others could assist. Suggest you start a a thread and see what comes back.

Morning Charlie, the drivers side carpet mat is fixed by eyelets on the mat and fixed hooks on the floor, the others are loosely laid over the carpet.

Re movies etc - I have the dual view TV as it's part of the Lux pack so cannot answer andy's question

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

According to another thread it appears that movies on a USB stick can be viewed on the screen....

Spiderman, how was your testing of the Si4?

I found the Si4 to be exactly as last time Mark, it still suffered an initial turbo lag when the accelerator pedal is 1st pressed, this lasts for circa 1-2 secs depending on whether you're starting off or your foots down for attack acceleration from say 40 or 50, when it then also hunts for the best gear...

IMHO the SD4 engine is still the better of two!

Another thing I noted that I found interesting is that whilst the Si4 is the quicker of the two to 60mph, once you are above it the SD4 pulls & pulls & pulls better, obviously that's the greater torque at work, 420Nm v 320Nm & given there will be remaps aplenty for the SD4 engine I think overall it's the better proposition, equal if not better performance in real life, improved mpg, less CO2 & cheaper road tax...win, win, win, win!

Albeit, one plus for the Si4 engine is that it's lighter so it does turn in swifter & feels more agile, but for me this would be at a cost of overall driver enjoyment....

Mark, I never ever, ever, thought I'd prefer a diesel over a petrol in my lifetime....but, I do in this car, it's a phenomenal achievement!

Interesting but hell will freeze over before I drive a diesel. In the end, it's horsepower not Nm which gets a car moving but I accept you need to change gear more often with a petrol.

That said, I have not yet driven any Evoque so my views are based on deeply ingrained prejudices honed over many years. I'm not about to change my order!

Mark, Mark, Mark....I never thought youd fall into the uneducated when it came to engines, allow me to educate you....Very Happy

Its torque that gets a car moving, BHP keeps at the predetermined speed you choose, which is why the best cars for towing or in the winter are those with a higher torque.

I felt exactly the same, borne over many years also, but, I have been converted to the SD4 engine as it is just so much better to drive, once you drive the 2 back to back you should arrive at that decision if you are half the Petrolhead I think you are!

And that's from one Petrolhead to another! Very Happy
