Dealers Deposits!

They took 1k from me to secure a place and remainder of balance is payable when car arrives.

That's odd. Whenever I have placed a deposit in the past it has just been taken off the total price come payment time.

Sorry no, what I meant by that was that they didn't ask for anything more after I placed a fully spec'd order.
I only placed deposit early march so definately don't have a build date, delivery date is guestimated as Dec 31st! How about yourself?

Sorry no, what I meant by that was that they didn't ask for anything more after I placed a fully spec'd order.
I only placed deposit early march so definately don't have a build date, delivery date is guestimated as Dec 31st! How about yourself?

I think I placed a deposit near when you did! Like you, I don't have a build slot yet but still fingers crossed for a Nov/Dec delivery......

Although.....must say that if there is no sign of getting it this year, an Audi Q3 is looking pretty tempting......and keenly priced!

I think myself, you and Wicksy must have all placed our deposits around the same date, probably same dealer too as there aren't that many to choose from up here.

Yes, I would have definately considered the Q3 if it was a little more like the prototype/show car. They have gone a little safe with the styling and I was just very disappointed that they are not going to do a 3 door version.

Aye, same dealer...... Q3 has a lovely looking interior though....Typical 'safe' exterior styling lets it down.
