Dealer 'Sorry for the Delay' Freebies....

I got my build date today...which is 17th Feb. I ordered back in Sept...and was told that delivery would probably be around 11th Jan.

I honestly think that they will say no to any freebies as its not the dealers fault.

However, everytime I have bought a brand new car, I always get something free....something small...a key ring....a cap....something.

When I asked my dealer..he said you will get nothing at all....nowt!

My Plan is...so say to them before I go and pick it up....I want NO dealer stickers on the car what so ever!....if they wont give me a little something..I am certainly not going to advertise the dealership when I drive around.

If when I collect the car...I see a dealer sticker...I will not accept delivery.

What do you guys think?...good idea?

So who is the generous dealer then? Was it LRC? the cars I have seen prepped for delivery look just to have the name on the number plate. Which is mandatory anyway.

Did they volunteer the build date or did you have to ask?

I was told by my dealer that they were giving all the customers with late delivery a skying weekend in Andorra. This is the Madrid Spain dealer "Salamanca".

Sounds great but I still have the see any documents, but will let you know when I do.

Sounds like you got a good deal there I asked my dealer for Mud Flaps they came back with.
The fitted price for front and rear mudflaps for the Evoque is £285.60 and LR only offering £150 and I'd have to pay the difference. Has anyone else encountered that from the dealer?

The delay is from when JLR state a build date and the actual build date I presume?...or when the dealer originally told you?

Im not holding my breath for anything to be honest...I just want my car

I think there are a few pics on the forum, you could try the search facility. I like the look with mudflaps.

I just got my car today, it has the mudflaps, I think it looks great!

Yep, I have front and rear mud flaps fitted. I think they just blend in with the car being black......
