Curiosity killed the cat

Watched the NASA Mars Landing of the Curiosity Rover this morning, Impressive feat of engineering, Shame about the American, we're better than the rest of the world 70's bravado, cutting the crap, it's an amazing feat for mankind and an impressive team of people to conceive and achieve a controlled landing like that. Loved seeing it drop from Mach 2.2 to Mach 0.3 when the Parachute Deployed, and then to hover and winch the rover down safely, amazing. Look forward to what can be found out there now it's free to be curious.

Anyone else notice the name sticker on the back of the guy's monitor in the video from Mission Control (I think it's at 24 seconds in the BBC video)? I know it could be a legitimate name, but the Chinese origin doesn't seem to tally with the guy sitting behind the screen and I just wondered if someone at NASA has a sense of humour...

RE: Curiosity killed the cat

I hope LR managed to get a logo badge to NASA to stick on the Curiosity Rover before it took off.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
