Crack in panoramic roof

I have just joined the list of Evoques with a "no reason" crack in the panormic roof. Waiting to hear outcome of LR investigation. The car has done 10000 kms (6000 miles) and I took delivery 1000 kms ago. Not a good start!

Can you please post some pics ? So fellow owners can check theirs thank you!

How do you know there is "no reason" if someone else had it for the first 9000kms?

You might just have found out why they sold it.

No it went through insurance check where all glass was checked and it defintiely was not there when I bought it.

Have you recently had roof rails fitted? It has been noted on here that some have cracked after having the roof rails fitted.

No was going to order (I am a MTB and canoe fanatic) but price for rails at R9000.00 put me off (would still need cross bars of some sort). Had towbar fitted for my Thule Euroway to carry bikes (also very expensive). Purchased Thule racks for canoe yesterday but have not fitted yet.

Hi Colin, with you living in PMB SA, are you sure that some tsotsi has not tried to gain entry via the glass roof...
