RE: *** Best price fuel ***

The thing with Evoque in cold weather are all the things like heated steering wheel, heated front screen, heated seats and not forgetting the electric powered PTC heater. They all put a big load on Evoque's smart alternator and make the engine work harder to keep up the supply of electricity. In warmer weather most of the electric ancillaries tend not to be switched on, reducing the alternator load on the engine.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

I agree Tim. The cold starts and longer warm ups are also a factor in cold weather. I was a bit disappointed though with only 35mpg driving up to Callander yesterday though. I was hoping for nearly 40 mpg on a long motorway trip at around the legal limit.
