B&B Automobiltechnik Evoque with 296hp

Another tuner takes on the Evoque, at least they've not done any crass body mods:

The base 2.2-litre turbo diesel in the ED4 (2WD) and TD4 (AWD) models makes 148Hp (110kW / 150PS) and 380Nm, but with B&B's Stage 1 package these figures are boosted to 177Hp (132kW / 180PS) and 450Nm respectively. A Stage 2 kit bumps output to 197Hp (147kW / 200PS) and 475Nm.

For the 188Hp (140kW / 190PS) 2.2-liter SD4 diesel, the Level 1 package increases output to 227Hp (169kW / 230PS) and 480Nm, and the Level 2 to 241Hp (180kW / 245PS) and maximum torque of 500Nm.

Moving on to the Evoque's 2.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that in factory trim produces 236Hp (176kW / 240PS), the first stage kit bumps output to 268Hp (200kW / 272PS), the second to 282Hp (210kW / 286PS) and the third to 295Hp (220kW / 300PS).

The latter allows for a 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 230km/h (143mph).

In addition to the power packages, B&B also offers a 30mm lowering kit, a sports exhaust system that adds another 5Hp to all engine variants, a six-piston high performance brake system and a choice of alloy wheel designs in sizes from 19- to 22-inches.

Interesting that the gearbox can handle the same torque as my TDV8 FFRR and RRS had.............. I suspect this sort of torque through the Evoque Gearbox might not be condusive to a long gearbox life.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

"Evoque's 2.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine "
You'd think they'd get the capacities correct first.

but Tim, your FFRR surely must take more than 500Nm torque? doesn't sound unreasonable the evoque can take it.... 500 ft lb maybe a different matter!

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).

Plus 1, I was beginning to wonder if it was just me who thought that about lowering springs.

Arrived 16 December 2011: Prestige SD4 auto 5dr in OG with Adaptive Dynamics, Adaptive Xenons, Surround Cameras, Auto Dimming Rearview, Grey Oak Wood, Spare Wheel and Powered Tailgate.

There are plenty of "yoofs" who can now afford to buy the very earliest RRS's, and first question most ask over on RRSport is "how can I make the suspension stay in access mode?" ............. reply is "Why? Go buy a Saxo"

Did they go into detail in regards to what the tune packages include? For 6k Euros, it better include some form of hardware.

B&B has a three-stage program for the 2.0 litre Si4 engine that starts within reading the boost on the turbo (adjusting the wastegate a little) and editing the mapping to raise its outputs from 176kW and 340Nm to 200kW and 400Nm.

Stage 2 includes new air intakes, modified manifolds, a new intercooler and 0.25 bar more boost to up the ante to 210kW and 410Nm.

Stage 3 adds an all-stainless steel, free-flow exhaust which, according to B&B, reduces back pressure and exhaust gas temperature significantly, lifting power to 220kW and torque to 425Nm (good enough for 0-100 in 6.5 seconds and 230km/h flat out), while reducing the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger.

Current: SD4 Dynamic Auto, 5 Door, Orkney Grey with Black Contrast Pano roof and 20" Shadow Chrome wheels. Pursuit interior. [countdown="Hand over"]15th June 2013 2:00pm[/countdown]

Gone: Si4 Prestige Auto Coupe, Orkney Grey with Panoramic Roof, Element interior, Shadow Chrome 20" wheels with most of the bits & pieces loaded. [countdown="Hand over"]29th November 2011 2:00pm[/countdown]
