I usually don't care for the bling look of large rims but you choice of the wheel design was excellent giving your car a different look than the show off flash of most larger rim conversions. What is the hood change you've done? It looks like cowl induction through a rear facing hood scoop? I also have the front rain deflectors on my coupe, mine are 'WeatherTech'. What brand did you use as they look different from 'WeatherTech' in your photos?

Thank you for the kind words. I was on the fence with going larger than 20" wheels. I was so nervous that it would cross the line of being tasteful and straight to laughable. I think they are right at the limit Smile The hood indeed does have an induction cowl for the custom intake I have fitted as well as giving the engine heat an escape route. The rain deflectors are OEM Land Rover. I think they are made by Weathertech but have the LR logo on them.

What brand are the rims you chose? Can you explain more of your cowl induction design? Nothing is available from K&N other than their replacement for the OEM filter, which I've done and subjectively it seems to improve the throttle response. I've always been a believer of getting as much cold outside air into the intake. The Evoque may pose a problem to the aftermarket companies because of the tight space under the hood. Also the factory routing appears to be effective with the fresh air source from the inner fender and I doubt the Evoque's engineers have left the motor air starved even under maximum turbo boost. I've thought of drilling small holes (following the molded mesh pattern) through the black plastic blanking plate around the fog lamps as a way to start an outside air route to this inner fender area.

Love that look. What width and offset are these as I am really struggling to get anything in the uk and might have to get something made to suit. Don't want to go too wide though but would like concave as well.

I have 22" OEM LR wheels on my RRS, the car was designed to run on them and ride is fantastic.......................... Until you hit a pot hole and then the car really feels them and even the air suspension struggles to cope, when I ran RRS's with 19" wheels the car just smothered potholes as the higher side wall of the tyre absorbed the shock loading much better. Problem with running 22's on Evoque will be finding one designed to take the extra weight over the saloon cars that most 22" wheels are designed to fit on, cracked or broken 22's are quite common, also in the UK your insurer might not like you running them on a car not designed to run on them. I have also found that the OEM 22's are not bad off-road despite the tyres not having any off road biase at all although I haven't yet tried them in deep mud.......

This is at "normal" ride height, they fill the wheel arches nicely

I now have a set of 21" M&S tyres mounted on genuine RRS SVR alloys for the winter and off-road playing as the tread pattern is M&S on them, but by god they are heavy, as are the 22's. I would have to get LRA out to help change one if I ever get a puncture as they are a two man job to lift! The RRS Even has a special lifting system in the spare wheel well under the boot to help get them out without putting your back out!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
