hhhmmm

Black bits or not? If I start at the mirrors it won't stop there, not keen on pulling trim off, grill looks simple but the rear trim and side bits look more tricky.

Decisions decisions.

RE: Ipanema in the sun

If I remember correctly there are accessory black mirror cappings available, they stick over the existing cowlings, no cutting or peeling required.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Ipanema in the sun

I already have all the black bits! 'Cause mine is a Dynamic. Exactly same colour as yours - Ipanema with black roof. Although its not as clean as yours!
I'll try to get time to take a picture and post it...

Before I had even seen what you wrote regarding adding black finishings, I was looking at the photos imagining what it would like with the black bits.... Go for it. It's an awesome colour combo, would be even better with at least black mirror caps.

Ipanema TD4 Auto Dynamic 5dr, Black Pano, 20" S7, Pursuit. Built 12/02/13, At the dealer! BOOOOO YAH!

Decisiveness has not been my strong point when it comes the the evoque. I looked at yours again this morning (Australia) and I kind of like it as is.... Looks a little more lux rather than sporty as is. Depends on what look you want to go for. Maybe do some plastidiping, that way it is easy to return to stock if you don't like it.

Look forward to it, it'll give an impression of the black look.

RE: Ipanema in the sun

Car looks fab, Heronb! Ipanema has to be one of the nicest RR colours ever and when it is as clean as yours is in the pics, it's simply stunning. Like you have said yourself, black mirrors etc could only add to the overall look, but your Evoque is beautiful whether you change them for black or not. Smile Paula xx

RE: Ipanema in the sun

Thanks for the nice words, still haven't taken the plunge on the black mirrors but will get 'round to it at some point. Had another cleaning day today to keep it looking good....Cool

I'd post pics but they'd be the same as the originals but will have to get the camera out when I'm out and about.
