RE: Evoque tyre sizes....please help

gmaker- I agree the black is very nice but I have a black car at present and it's a nightmare to keep clean!! I think I will do what full fat Tim suggested and pop into the local dealer to see the red in real life...
Decided to stay with the 20" rims as I think these look better gone for the shadow style7 as I think they will look good with black contrast roof. Your probably right this could well be the longest car launch in history, but if all the early reviews are to be believed it seems to be worth the wait and expense,as this is also my first RR.

If they are to big ill try and fit some 275/40/20's

The 275/45 will introduce a speedo error of 2.2mph at 60mph, ie you'll actually be doing 62.2 at an indicated 60. If how ever the speedo is actually out by more than this then it won't be a problem. All my modern cars have had a 6-8kph error so slightly larger tyres has never really been an issue.

275/40/20 equals 245/45/20

RE: Evoque tyre sizes....please help

According to the UK Price list the tyre sizes are.....

18" 235/60
19" 235/55
245/45 ( think this must be a misprint)
20" 245/45

Strange the on the 19" Diamond Tuned - Style 5 list 245/45.

Cheers

If they are to big ill try and fit some 275/40/20's to bring the overall size the same as the 45 profile ones.

Pete

Please let us know your comments when you fit the 275-45-20 tires. Those are the ones I would like to use mainly for the extra protection to the wheel. Thanks!

Normal tolerance is around 2.5%, in your opinion the 295 tyres would be too wide?
245-45-20 = 28.68”
295-40-20 = 29.29”
Diameter % +2.02%

I think those will be ok, id try and check somehow that the 295 are not to wide that you will loose steering range because they foul the chassis on full lock or simlar.

RE: Evoque tyre sizes....please help

If you go to Peter Bell's recent posting http://babyrr.com/forum/Thread-Wiki-type-info he has created a useful info pdf that has just about all the tech info you will need including whee/tyre sizes and offsets toe in/out etc etc you have to do a lot of reading because Evoque is in with the FFRR and RRS info

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
