Dealer settings to disable

Hi,

My car is due in a couple of weeks and wanted to get an idea of things i should ask them to disable or enable before i collect the car

Can the DRL's be turned off by the driver ?, my current audi i can turn them on or off, i heard somewhere they were always on on the Evooque ?. is there not a setting on the light switch for them ?

Is the mirror folding etc on by default ?, or can some things be changed via a menu in the car ?, auto locking etc ?

thanks

RE: Dealer settings to disable

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge (but not stating it as fact)

1 The DRLS stay on all the time ( some kind of new EU legislation )
2 Folding Mirrors are standard (don't know why you wouldn't want that) car parks etc
3 You can stop the car from auto locking

regards

RE: Dealer settings to disable

Hi,

Thanks, i have folding mirrors on the car, was wondering if i need to get them enabled by the dealer, its not that i want to disable them, more want to make sure that function is on.

I don't like the idea of not being able to disable DRL, thats a bit poor Sad

Not really, 'DRL on' is the law!

If you have opted for folding mirrors, then dealer will enable them at PDI

Interesting, I can opt to get mine turned on and I am still thinking about doing just that. It's not a requirement in Texas. So this feature is abled or disabled per region.

The mirror bit that is dealer enabled is the auto fold on locking function, the electric mirrors will otherwise only fold when you press the fold button on the mirror control panel

ok, thanks i will make sure they enable this, i have key-less entry so want to use the mirrors as a indication.

What about coming home, leaving home lights, i.e. headlights stay on when locking, i guess this is through a user menu, what about auto locking etc ?

I haven't been near my own Evoque since October so cannot remember, but I'm pretty certain the delay is changed via the dash menu
