Paddleshift standard on sd4 - RacingSnake - 04-10-2011 04:34pm I have taken it for granted that this is standard, on the basis that I haven't seen it as an option anywhere.... but on the flip side, I've not seen it saying it's standard either!! Someone put me out of my misery please! RE: Paddleshift standard on sd4 - JRL2W - 04-10-2011 04:37pm Yes, it is standard on SD4. However, if I have read the handbook correctly, it only works in Sports mode. RE: Paddleshift standard on sd4 - RacingSnake - 04-10-2011 04:38pm I think it works in 'D' too, but switches back on its own after a period of time whereas S holds it in gear? But thanks for the confirmation on the standard, Jeez, I can't afford to add any more options in RE: Paddleshift standard on sd4 - simonc - 04-10-2011 05:05pm Yup that's how it works RacingSnake - at least that's how it worked when I test drove an SD4. Basically you can use the paddle shifts in either D or S and doing so invokes "Command Shift" mode, but in D it will revert back to auto mode after a few seconds whereas in S you need to hold the + paddle for a couple of seconds to revert to auto mode, otherwise it will just remain in Command Shift mode and only change gear when you use the paddles.
