How much!?!

What did they do apart from oil, filter and the couple of software updates?

Hi all I have been quoted £395 for my first service which is due now by my local LR dealership, is that a good price and if I supplied my own 5w30 oil would I save much?

RE: First Service upgrades - vinda - 11-09-2012 11:29pm

I was quoted 395 as well. On the phone I asked about price match and it went down to 320. If you provide your own oil another saving of 70

RE: First Service upgrades - WB - 12-09-2012 04:59pm

Does anyone have a list of what is done on a first service apart from the oil and filter change?

RE: First Service upgrades - XFullFatTim - 12-09-2012 05:07pm

Depending on how early yours was in the production runs you will get:

Autobox TCM reflash to latest version
Steering Lock update ( don't ask I have no idea!)
Coupe gets seat motors recalibrated ( I haven't noticed them being any less slow.....)
There seems to have been something done to my AD as I can no longer tell the difference between the suspension settings, only the weight of the steering.
Very early cars may also be due for replacement door seals to a modified design if you have previously complained of road/ wind noise from the door seals.
Again later cars are built with the modified seals
Most of these will be built-in at newbuild on later cars, but I don't know the cut off VIN's

Thanx Vinda I'll get back to my dealer, do you know where to get the oil from as I can't find the C1 oil anywhere?
