"Unless I've missed something I honestly couldn't point to anything inside my car and say "Victoria Beckham designed that" I was one of those that berated LR for involving her, but in the markets LR wanted to sell Evoque in she is the Queen Bee and has huge influence on the spending of many young women, not just WAGs. I don't think we get her range of clothing in the UK, but she is one of the big names in female fashion Stateside, so if she is involved plenty will buy just because of the connection. I read in either Autocar or Car magazine that there may be a limited edition Evoque coming out next year that VB has had a lot of input into. "

Looking like a ladies car then, not as butch as its big brothers a little more feminne

After the above comments , I may order something else

I never considered it to be a ladies car, but if LR marketing want it's just become a WAG chariot then I don't want one

I think it Was a big mistake having anything to do with her, it's a bit like the good associating Lexus got from Alan Partridge not good

Can't see how VBs involvement or not could in anyway affect my car choice. It's a car not a pair of shoes

I don't think that VB has actually done anything on the launch cars. I think she is colaborating on a special edition model?
Might be wrong - usually am!

Landrover by involving VB gives a big clue as to where it sees it target market.

I suppose it makes sense, as all its other products are not really that suited or appealing to the average Lady driver.

2 busy showrooms I visited yesterday had quite a high number of females looking round, both with and without husbands. If Hubby is in the market for a Landrover they now something to tempt his wife as well which is more to their liking and needs.

Time will tell if Hairdressers are into them as wellLaughing

I was at the Edinburgh launch at Harvey Nicks on Friday was plenty of the VB crowd there who seemed far more interested in the fashion show than the cars! However, the white dynamic coupe did seem to attract their attention I expect to see a lot of the VB crowd in these. By the way it looked very cool with shadow chromes and a black contrast roof.

One of my initial concerns about going with the evoque was the image...specifically the VB/soft roader thing....what finally swayed me in the end was the road tests and the videos showing what and accomplished drive the evoque is. Can't wait to try it!

To be honest I couldn't care less whether people think it's a " ladies car " there is just as much women drive FFRR or RRSs or defenders for that matter. I chose the evoque because I wanted a smaller car as I spend most of the time in it myself and don't need the off road prowess of a defender. If this is the sort of thing that land rover and Victoria beckham can produce then long may it continue.

I thought the range of cars parked outside T&C Aberdeen today was interesting... all looking at Evoques :

1. Golf GTI
2. Jag X Type
3. Nissan Navarra
4. BMW X5
5. 2 X RRS

and no real demographic
