I have offpeak storage heaters, house is 1985 vintage all electric and very well insulated as I specified extra insulation when I had the house built for me (it's a timber frame "kit" house on a small development of 14). I replaced the storage heaters with the latest equivalent to what I had last year, they aren't a patch on the old ones as for the same out put they are smaller, but don't hold the heat as long!

Hi Eco-king,

I am a solar pv installer, the 6kw per day sound fine if you have a south facing roof. You should had a SAP cal from your installer, this would show the total number of kwh the you should from your system.

You have a 2.5kw x 0.8 =2000 kwh per year. So if you devide by 356 = 5.48kwh per.

I'm just happy doing my bit and getting paid a tiny sum for it as well.

Just do what everybody else does, buy a neodymium magnet off ebay with at least 450kg of pulling power for around£100.Free electricity with no installation costs, unsightly panels or 10 year playback times.

Not done it myself but I have seen it work at other peoples houses and offices/factories,it does work.
Think the information is widely available on internet as is bomb making/drug recipes etc.
If I could do the same thing with the fuel gauge on the evoque then that would be a different matter Very Happy
