woo hoo - finally

Well its taken 17000 miles and 10 months. Finally got a half decent MPG figure.

As an experiment , combined with a long day , I decided to just amble home. So , 95 mile journey , motorways ( M25 / M11 ) , practically all of it using cruise control and generally around 60 mph mark.
Trip computer shows 48.6 MPG with average speed of 51 miles per hour.

Mind you , not exactly a fun drive, just dribbling along like an old gramps........that wont be happening again.

Usually my average ( brim to brims ) is around 37 MPG , motorways 80% and remainder town driving, 300 miles a week .

Done 4300miles so far and lucky to get 35mpg in any type of run. I'm not expecting much as my mpg seems to be going down not up . May be it's because I drive slightly more for fun than for economy. I've made my peace with the fact that it ll be 35-38 at best and 30mpg average! 139.9 p per gallon just the other day, ouch! ( but worth it)
