woo hoo - finally - paisan - 07-02-2013 10:38pm Well its taken 17000 miles and 10 months. Finally got a half decent MPG figure. As an experiment , combined with a long day , I decided to just amble home. So , 95 mile journey , motorways ( M25 / M11 ) , practically all of it using cruise control and generally around 60 mph mark. Trip computer shows 48.6 MPG with average speed of 51 miles per hour. Mind you , not exactly a fun drive, just dribbling along like an old gramps........that wont be happening again. Usually my average ( brim to brims ) is around 37 MPG , motorways 80% and remainder town driving, 300 miles a week . woo hoo - finally - Teetree - 08-02-2013 02:26pm (07-02-2013 10:38pm)paisan Wrote: Well its taken 17000 miles and 10 months. Finally got a half decent MPG figure. Done 4300miles so far and lucky to get 35mpg in any type of run. I'm not expecting much as my mpg seems to be going down not up . May be it's because I drive slightly more for fun than for economy. I've made my peace with the fact that it ll be 35-38 at best and 30mpg average! 139.9 p per gallon just the other day, ouch! ( but worth it) woo hoo - finally - EpicEvo - 09-02-2013 01:53pm Only 400miles on my car so far... Getting 34mpg at the moment. Any thing over 30 and I'm happy ![]() |
