And the rear spoiler of course. I agree though that it does still seem a lot of money, but then again if money was the driving force behind our choices, I for one wouldn't be buying an Evoque.

You appeared to have confused FACT with OPINION

Printing it in caps and/or shouting it doesn't change this

Agreed . . . I honestly think that the 5-door looks better

The 5 door practicality meant that the coupe was never in the running and the £1k saving is a bonus.

Having seen them in the flesh I admit the coupe has nicer lines, but the 5 door is still a beautiful looking car and Im sure average joe public will think both are a bit special.

There will be no ugly evoques on the road.

Arrived 16th December 2011: 5 door Prestige SD4 auto in Barolo black with ambience interior, pano roof, privacy and 20" style 6 alloys.Very Happy

The coupe IMHO is definitely a nicer looking beast.

I always preferred the 5-door. The coupe never looked enough like a range rover to me. I think the 5-door hits the balance between "range rover" and revolutionary styling.

The original Range Rover was 2 door only.............was quite a long time before Land Rover considered people might like 4 doors

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Why is 5 door £1000 cheaper than Coupe?

The 5 door is rather more conventional to look at and has better practicality. The coupe on the other hand is more adventurous and closer to the original design concept and LR charge a premium for that.

The de-contenting of the coupe - no rear doors, windows, motors, locks and the rest - reduces LR's costs, it's true, and should reduce the weight of the car which might yield a small benefit in performance.

Impossible to know which will retain value better. It's easy to think of there being an over-supplied secondhand market for the coupe. I think the coupe premium will vanish and so will money spent on some options - parking assist, blind spot assist, surround cameras - before the ink is dry on the order form.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR
