Resurrecting an old thread but that's the route I've taken WB. It appears that the Hotfire engines might not come on stream for another 12 months which is too close to my warranty running out and I don't fancy being a guinea pig for a new engine design with all those potential problems.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Liking that Spec Dynamic 5-door you've got on order Tim. Looking forward to your comparison review and your thoughts on the 9-speed auto and the smaller external mirrors.

The current mirrors aren't a problem for me - the wind noise at speed is disappointing though for what is otherwise a pretty quiet car. Hopefully the wider space between the inner edge of the mirror and the A pillar will cure that although fitting similar noise insulating glass to that on the RRS and FFRR's front side glasses would also help.

So true - I'm doing the same. My experience with LR's sales and aftersales, as well as the (lack of) quality of the car have made me go German. I doubt I'll ever buy another Land Rover.

Sad thing is, they just don't care. I've lost money and wasted a lot of time compaining, but my Evoque will soon be sold/traded in.

Leason learnt!

Good god no, have you seen how ugly it is? It's worse than the Mk1 Cayenne - I have an Evoque 5 door on order as in my signature

I'm in SE Spain at the moment and there are about 6 Macans being driven around on test. They look like jelly moulds on wheels. Also seen locally are factory (UK reg 'VX' prefixed plates, LHD) Evoques, FFRRs and various Jag products being tested. They add a bit of class!

RE: What to replace the Evoque with?

The "Evoques" may not be what they seem............... could be Freelander3/ Baby Discos in disguise. Also LR is still testing the new range of engines so if you can get some of the registrations there are members here who seem to be able to access the DVLA and find out the engine types and capacities
