RE: What to replace the Evoque with?

As a car-enthousiast, and also lots of my friends who drive cheap and (very) expensive cars, everybody experiences
minor or major difficulties with their cars.
Remember that a car is a mechanical object with thousands of pieces (electronically or mechanically)
that should work perfectly together but not always do.
No mather what the price is or the brand.

RRE TD4 Prestige 4WD AUT, santorini black, element interior, tech pack, cold climate pack, pano roof, privacy glass, brushed alu, auto high beam assist, airco vents rear, auto dim mirror, camera, home link, 20" style 7, 18" spare, debugged, roof rails, replaced side vents, grille in glossy black and center cap wheels with RR, black lettering
Also stunning Fiat 500 Cabrio GUCCI edition, black/gold metallic, and red Fiat Panda 1992 selecta (var. transmission).

I'd look really hard at the Merc GLK in 2016 when they plan a RHD version

RE: What to replace the Evoque with?

Just replaced my RRE coupe with Evoque 5 door. Tried X3,X5, Q5 and SQ5. Very disappointed with all of them, Q5 and SQ5 were ok with better engines than the Evoque but that was it. Was offered 22% off as well, but the drive was bone shaking and the interior boring for me, all very well put together and I like Audi but it was bland in terms of design. Have had the new Evoque for a couple of weeks now and am pleased to say that the niggles with the early cars appear to have been ironed out!

On order: Volvo XC60 T5 Inscription Pro

Current: Porsche Macan, Pebble Interior, Volcano Grey, Bose, other extras which cost lots and should be standard

Gone:
BMW X6 m diesel with BMW exclusive interior
Evoque Dynamic Orkney, Accolade Dynamic Plus Sports Interior (Ivory)
Evoque. Coupe, Dynamic, Fuji, Pursuit (x2)
Scirocco 2.0 GT DSG, Black, Black Lthr, 19" Luganos
TT Mk 2, Grey, Audi Exclusive Int
SLK Mk 2, Blk, Beige Lthr
TT Mk 1, Blue, Silver Lthr
TT Mk 1, Silver, Grey Lthr

So you got drive an SQ5? The word on the street is that no dealer in the UK will see one before 17th April..... I'd love to have the confidence that RRE quality issues were ironed out - and perhaps a Satnav worthy of RR brand too - I'd have another.

Delivered 15th May 2012, rejected and returned 4th Feb 2013 - SD4 5 door Prestige manual with a bucket full of rattles Mauritius Blue. Crazy Audi MY2020 RSQ3

I also looked at the Volvo V40 Cross Country T5 AWD, boot not big enough for me but seems a competent enough car in the snow. It's a shame that Volvo only offer the AWD with T5 petrol engine.

RE: What to replace the Evoque with?

Anybody have a photo/video of a 5 door Dynamic in Firenze with Black contrast/pano roof with Style 7's and Pivacy Glass? I'm thinking of a 2014MY Dynamic Plus Lux Auto 5 Door. I don't mean to upset others but I think RRE looks best in bright/ light colours and as metallic is now standard on a Dynamic it's pointless going for my first choice colour which is the beautiful Fuji, ruled out OG as way too understated for the Evoque, makes it look almost as dull and boring as Santorini. Saw a Colima 5 door Dynamic with a black contrast roof today which looked "unusual", possibly unique even.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: What to replace the Evoque with?

Thanks guys -so there is another Colima with Santorini roof somewhere out in Aus then. The Red is nice, will have to keep my ear to the ground for any new colours coming up for 2014 or even 2015MY (might be worth waiting until Sept 2014 to see if the new engines also come that year too)
