Just a question. Why wash wheels first? I've always used the top down method with the wheels being last. Which by the way was just an hour ago!

Rinse first with jet from hose, or jetwash to remove large debris. (with snow foam if you're really keen)

Wash wheels first. Replace water

Microfibre Noodle Mitt is great for the hand wash

2 buckets, 1 with shampoo, 1 to rinse it after each applilcation of mitt to car.

Microfibre Drying towel to dry off and avoid water marks.

Then a wax or quick detailer for a sparkling finish.

Snow form, let it sit for 5 mins to lift the dirt.
Pressure wash form/dirt away, this will leave me car 80% clean.
Use the two bucket & girt guard with a PH neutral shampoo & a lambs wool mit.
Pressure wash again.
Last rinse is done with water passing though a 30ppm filter. To stop water marks ( very hard water where I live).
Dry car off using a drying towel.

when i wash my wheels the brushes i use make a real mess and a lot of the cleaned of brake dust can fly back onto the car.
you should also really use a different cleaning mitt to what you use on the car as these areas pick up a lot more dirt.

Well said. Brake dust is a corrosive & should never come in contact with your cars paint.

guys just a note when you wash your cars becareful of the rubber nob that covers the wiper nuts it comes off i almost lost mine gladly noticed it fall and stuck it back on..its funny why LR have done this especially when they havent painted the nut black the same colour as the wipers. prolly its to allow the wipers to come up as part of the winter drive function. i wonder if they have spares that then can replace with.

Hi Ingrn, Just spotted this, but as mentioned by others, Wheels first as they're the dirtiest and can splash back brake dust onto your lovely cleaned paintwork so clean them first and change the water/product, it takes a while to convert/remember from the old use the dirty water for your wheels method! I've got a KENT no-metal microfibre brush (Just search that on Amazon), it's great on the style 4's wouldn't work on 5's though, not that i'll be doing much washing with just buckets only now since we have the ban.
