Upgrade alloys but to which ones?

Looking for some opinions on which alloys I should upgrade to. I currently have the stock 18 inch style 11 alloys but would like to go to 20's. What ones do you guys and gals think would look best on my car. I am drawn to the hawke chayton in 20 inch as 22 is probably too big i think or is it? What do you think.cheers.

22"s look awsome but tend to limit choice of tyres.
All depends on where you driving. If off road then go 20" or below.

RE: Upgrade alloys but to which ones?

I had standard 18"s on my 1st Evoque and preferred the 20" wheels that come standard on the dynamic.
Sorry I' not good with the part numbers.
Anyway, the joy is that they are so much easier to clean and that would figure highly in my choice.
I don't mind putting a little time in but I want good results and that means no inaccessible places.

OUT - Pure SD4, Orkney Grey, 5 dr, Manual, Fogs, Xenons, Auto dim mirror, Auto lights / wipers, Power fold mirrors, spare wheel.
IN - Dynamic SD4, Indus Silver, 5 dr, Auto, Heated Steering Wheel, Auto Dim mirror, Spare wheel.

RE: Upgrade alloys but to which ones?

Also bear in mind that Black Anodised/Diamond Turned/ Shadow Chromes are a nightmare to reburbish if they get scuffed and that many after market wheels are often not strong enough for the weight of Land Rover products and crack easily. What used to be called Style 6 and now are Style 504 - the 20's that came standard on Dynamics or the latest multispoke design that is optional for 2016MY Dynamics called Style 508 (also available in Black) look good and are LR OEM so can take the weight of the car. One thing I found was that the OEM Michelin Tyres had a nice overlap over the rim that protects edge of the wheel well, much better than either the Continental or Pirelli tyres that I ran on previous cars. I would also think that anything bigger than a 20" wheel will seriously degrade the ride as the suspension was not designed for such a large wheel with low sidewall. I have LR OEM 22"s on my RRS and have been delighted with the ride having been very sceptical - but then the suspension is tuned to suit that size, and having air suspension helps too. How it will cope on a green lane run I don't know - just hope that in 2 weeks I don't find out the expensive way unless my Defender has returned from the fettlers!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

I really like the 2016MY style 508 wheels as well but haven't seen many any sale, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place tho. Hopefully later in the year when the 2016MY are on the road I'll see more of these available.

Tim your RRS is very nice looking in that small picture. Are there pictures anywhere else that can be viewed?
