RE: UnLandRovering

The intelligent braking system is the LR speak for the Volvo pedestrian/ city crash prevention system, it needs adaptive cruise to work at lower speeds I believe. I too had a good laugh when I saw the "less intelligent braking system " on my order form

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Is it not true then that Land Rover Range Rover made by Tata have the same ring to it as an authentic replica Van Gogh made in China?

RR wheel caps and other badges look naff IMO.

I'm sure the original cars had Range Rover centre caps and very little mention of LR, so original rather than naff. I see it as a ploy to lift the LR brand following the success of the Evoque.

The mention of an amalgamation of parts in the Evoque goes for many cars utilising the best fit, VW group is a prime example, but with different brands within the group.

Do you not think the 3 foot long words "R A N G E R O V E R" (Front and Back) are sufficient enough to highlight the car as pertaining to the said brand?

RE: UnLandRovering

The problem for me is not the Land Rover or Range Rover branding or snob value, its the fact the logo is a garish green and clashes with colours like Firenze, and does not look half as good as the Range Rover fade-in logo. Spoiling the clean grill look with the oval is bad enough if it were black/silver, making it green is just hideous. Replacing the fade in Range Rover logo on start up on the screen with that green is hideous. They do need to keep the pure designer cues and if they want to use the logo everywhere adjust the colour to suit, the rear Land Rover logo on mine is Black and looks just fine!

There is a lot of negative feelings on this subject, not only on here but also on the 'Evoque Owners Club' forum. On there thay have started a petition to assemble owners thoughts and hope to encourage JLR to, at least give owners a choice, to which logo should be displayed.

RE: UnLandRovering

Of course the Original Concept of the Evoque was actually a Land Rover badged product... BUT IT HAD A SILVER/WHITE BADGE! Way cooler...
