I've never had one fitted until the current FFRR, which was an ex dealer demo from West London, came with one already fitted. I choose then not to have it enabled...................... at £135 a year saved I thought why bother. Then some low lifes tried to steal the FFRR from outside my house by breaking in to get keys that were not there. I live in what is considered to be an exceptionally low crime area (normally only the odd sheep and Highland cow gets rustled not Range Rovers). On investigation I found it cost £350 for lifetime enablement and that is transferable to subsequent owners so I paid up. My insurers don't require it but as it's there it was worth the re-anablement. I will also be looking at getting the Land Rover Watch system fitted to the Evoque as it is somewhat more sophisticated than the Tracker and monitors every movement of your car rather than waiting for you to report it stolen before teh system is activated

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
