RE: The Autobiography Evoque

£53000 is the price of a Dynamic Lux Plus with nearly all the options boxes checked, that was the list price of my current car.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Is that £53000 with most options or basic without options?

There is a Ford 2.3ltr version of the 2.0ltr Ecoflex coming soon that developes 300BHP but as LR has to pay Ford a premium to by the engines I doubt we will see it in the Evoque any year soon.

But why would Land Rover not avoid this by simply sticking the Their JLR V6 in the evoque -- in Ftype form it starts at a very reasonable 350 hp. and the engine bay in the evoque looks to be similarly sized.

Why bother paying premiums to Ford ? when people would gladly buy an Evoque "R" with 350hp -- or better yet tuned to 380-400 hp

Im not sure why they're delaying this -- imagine an Evoque that sounded like the F - type.....WOW

With most options - only boxes I didn't tick were spare wheel/tyre, solar glass, smokers pack, and something else
that I don't miss. Could live without many of the things in the Lux Pack like auto-parking, TV, surround cams but then I would have liked to have been able to have specced the adaptive cruise instead. Beginning to wish I hadn't specced Incontrol as I seem to spend more time having to change the passwords to the app than is worth the use I get out of it. The Secure bit is very good and very clever though, just the remote bit just is now becoming a waste of money with the log in hassles and I don't get to upgrade my 2014MY apps to the new 2015 apps either - built in obsolescence after 3 months ownership is really shocking in 2014. If low volume car makers like Aston Martin and Rolls Royce can do annual upgrades to the latest versions of software on older cars there really is no reason why JLR as a low volume maker cannot do it too, let's face it when the car goes in for a service they plug it into a computer and reflash all the other stuff so why not the InControl and satnav maps at the same time? Even if they charged £20 to do it I doubt anyone would complain.

RE: The Autobiography Evoque

Is Incontrol standard across the Evoque range?

I notice it's been added to the 15MY Discovrey but not the Fl2. Is it of any use at all? Or just a gimmick, this was something I was looking forward to trying on my next purchase.
