TV RECEPTION

Has anyone got the duel view screen - I was told today that it does not work and never worked, despite it being sold as an extra???

Yes, and it does work, although the sequence of buttons to operate it is a bit illogical. (Unless you've switched to US TV to make your radio work, of course!Wink )

RE: TV RECEPTION

Interesting ....I have had the duel view TV for 2 years ....it cuts out when I drive over 5 mph (this has got nothing to do with the 4g problems..thats something else).
The service manager told me today that the duel TV will only work when stationary!
This somewhat misses the point of being duel view. Has anyone suffered similar problems? Is this normal ...as I am a bit annoyed that LR are selling this feature (for a premium I might add) but does not work!

RE: TV RECEPTION

The dual view will only work if there is somebody sat in the front passenger seat or the car is stopped with the parking brake on if the driver is to view the non-satnav screen. By law the driver is not allowed to see the TV/DVD (if playing) when the car is moving at more than 5mph although there are hacks that can circumvent this! If you are driving solo then the TV picture should disappear but you will still be able to hear the audio. You haven't been cheated - that's the way the law wants it.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

+1, SWMBO has watched the TV or a DVD on the move on numerous occasions while on my side I've either got the sat nav or radio on, while on the odd occasion I've had the TV on just to listen to, then watch when sitting in traffic ( below 5mph )

evoque now gone, but not forgotten, on to bigger and better things

I'd have thought that this was the entire point of dual view. If both passengers could legally watch TV at +5 mph, then a normal screen would suffice. The dual view allows the passenger to continue viewing on the move while the driver can't.

+1 Dual view is solely for the purpose of the passenger watching TV/DVD on the move while the driver has the normal screen/Nav and is undistracted!

RE: TV RECEPTION

I should ask the OP then....
what did you think the Dual-screen TV was for?

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).

RE: TV RECEPTION

I understand the function of the duel view - I was told the passenger could watch the TV while the car is on the move.... I recognise the driver cant see this screen unless the car is moving at about 2mph.... My point is that the reception is so poor the passenger cannot watch the TV unless the car is creeping or stationary.

I have to say that I didn't get from any of your previous posts as to this being the issue.
