Spoiler Brake Light

Hi

First time I have followed our Evoque today and I noticed that the spoiler brake light did not come on on braking. I'm presuming this isn't normal or only happens when the headlights are on etc? There is no warning light on the dash to say anything is wrong.

Would it be a loose connection perhaps somewhere?

Thanks

RE: Spoiler Brake Light

It should come on when brakes are applied.
There is a panel under the spoiler that does allow some access to that unit so might be worth looking there. It is a bit fiddly - there is a thread here somewhere on its (the panel) removal but can't find at the moment. Otherwise, trip to your friendly dealer.

RE: Spoiler Brake Light

Took it into the dealer and the issue was low battery voltage to the light unit! They replaced the light for a new one and all is well.

I noticed the job sheet said it would have cost £147!! Thank heavens for warranties!
