Speed Alarm

Does anyone know if the volume for the speed alarm can be increased? The beep is so low that it is barely audible with normal road noise and radio and a normal level.

Ah, but you could set it to 'beep' at a speed below that of the road you are travelling on ! Wink

RE: Speed Alarm

Yes, you can change it. I have mine set at 82, just in case Embarrassed

You change it via the R/H steering wheel control switches and can find the details about it and other settings in the manual - Instrument Panel - Warning and Information Messages section

Hope this helps.

Arrived Jan 2013 from Hadley Green Arrow Prestige SD4 Manual, Fuji White, Pan Roof, Cirrus/Lunar, Aluminium, Ivory Headliner, A/D, Privacy, Lux Pack, Xenons etc

RE: Speed Alarm

that would suck if they removed it.

i have found it very useful. i keep it set at 80mph 'cuz i know i can talk my way out of a 70-something ticket on a highway, but 80-something is exponentially harder!!

it IS quiet. i am unaware of any means of changing the volume of it. i find that i've gotten used to the sound, so even with the stereo blasting or the windows all down on the highway, i notice it. the visual cue in the dash probably helps too.

if you DO find a way to turn it up, please let us all know - i wouldn't mind it being a bit louder too.

doody.

RE: Speed Alarm

You could try the same process as when you want to adjust the volume of parking sensors and the sat Nav voice - when the speed sensor sounds adjust the volume on the rotary knob on the radio controls as the Beeps sound. This is a stab in the dark, but if it's how you adjust the other 2 system it MIGHT work for this one too..........
