Please see the rails in black, IMO they improve the look of the car and you can fit the cross bars in minutes safe and strong and ready to have fun.

Pure evoque have you wrapped the rear of the centre panel of the bumper in black?

Your cars looking great

It does look good, no question!
I've just purchased a pair (in black) along with the finishing bits, from a dealer near Chicago. Even with shipping it was $200 less than at my local dealer. Anyway I fancy installing them myself. Has anyone sorted out how to do this installation?
I'd appreciate any help with it. Shocked

RE: Roof Box

i'd be interested to see these bars on a coupe...

they look purposeful on the five door because its a practical option on a practical vehicle... but i went for the 3dr purely on looks.. and i dont think practical roof bars suit the less practical 3dr.. just my opinion of course.

Cheers Westy, very eagle eyed, I had some wrap left over and thought I'd try it, the 3M wrap is amazing the way it conforms, I didn't think it would turn out so well, need some more now to do the front, and some silver to do the grey front and back 'bull bars'

I'll try and get a better picture of the rear

Did you wrap the diffuser in place or remove it first? I'm thinking of doing mine the same and haven't got around to looking at how they are attached.

Also I've been in touch with 3M UK and they don't seem to do the 1080 vinyl in gloss silver which is annoying. They do make another product which doesn't have quite as good conforming properties but they think should work.

In Place, it's plastic welded on unfortunatley, the front is bolt on though so that will be easier.

The only piece that's removable is the right hand tailpipe surround (if you had a tailpipe)

I found that, dissapointing they dont do a silver, I got a sample of the matt silver they do and it's too close to the original colour Sad

RE: Roof Box

Golden rule when fitting the roof rails is to use a plastic pry tool to lever out the trim pieces to avoid damage to the car and to put an old towel on the roof to protect it from the loose end waving around while you attend to the other end. This is especially important if you have the Pano roof because there is some evidence striking it can start a hairline crack which costs £2700 to fix. Also, don't slide the fixing covers into position until you are certain you are happy with the fit and use some sort of lubricant over the sliding surfaces when you do - I used washing up detergent.

Ah, but the roof bars on your coupe will tell the local tottie that you are the outdoor adventurous type with a sense of style and they will fall at your feet... until of course you are seen using it to transport flat pack furniture.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR
