Replacement Seat Pads

I met up with a client of mine today that had a Firenze Prestige that he took delivery of in September, he was one of the Very Lucky early ones!!

He said he was invited to an event organised by his dealer a couple of months later where he took his car and they took pictures of it and walked him through every inch of it over a 3 hour period, there were also LR officials there too.

When they had finished one of the LR guys asked what he would suggest as improvements or what issues he had had to date, to which he replied about the sagging of the drivers seat after only a few thousand miles. A couple of weeks later his dealer contacted him and replaced both front seat pads!!

So, keep an eye on them if they start to sag and see how you get on!!

Just one other thing he said he would like to see, he said it would be good if the remote tailgate opening could be configured to work when you were carrying a box so you didn't have to get the keys out by activating some kind of sensor, the LR guy said they may be able to do something where a sensor was located around the rear bumper that you say waved your foot underneath that would then open the boot!! So might be something to watch out for.

ANyway, I thought it was fantastic that he got this Unique opportunity to do this with his car

The boot opening sensor is already fitted to the new Ford Focus and the Ford Kuga IIRC - either you tap a sensor gently with your foot or waggle your foot at it to operate the motor. Shouldn't be too hard to retro fit I would imagine!

But don't you get funny looks in the supermarket car park?

It will be at first but now nobody thinks twice about people taking a plastic block out of their pocket and aiming at the car to unlock it or open the boot.
